When using the F word it can mean many different things some people use it in a bad way, “In The Praise of the F Word” by Mary Sherry it talks about how students who graduate are unable to read or write with ease or fluency academically wise. The article also says that some adults may have to take literacy programs after they finish school as well as saying that kids today can not really learn certain things because of the living conditions they come from. No matter how bad their living conditions maybe most children do not put school on their number one priority list unless they're like a job they really want that require it. So by doing that there are teacher’s giving students a F grade saying that it will help wake students up to show them that you can not just fly by in school and not really do the work they give you its not that easy.
One idea I found most interesting was when the author was saying how “some students do very poorly in school because of drugs and their living environment they come from”. Many students most of the time make bad choices in life. Parents have a big impact on their child life as far as learning and making sure they child is doing well in school. Teachers play a big part also in a child education because they are the ones who are teaching the students in the classroom. They have to make sure the students in the class understand how important it is to get good grades in school and to get a education. I feel like this is important because some kids do not really understand how important it is to get a education. In the long run it's going to pay off. You can not go to school and think that its going to be easy because nothing is easy in life.
As a boy growing up i really struggle when it came to school its so easily to lose focus especially when u have friends who you aloud influence you in the choices that you make in life. Some people make good choices others don’t. For me it started when i got to high school as a freshman i never ever like doing homework and i would hardly go to class. My friends i grew up with were a bad influence on me. It cause me to do really bad in school. I was thinking that i was good and i can just fly by and and still graduate school but i was wrong. Slowly i just stop going to school altogether. I would cut school and just hangout with my friends or i would just go to class and leave early. I regret ever doing that because i never really got a chance to finish high school. My mother send me away to a trade school all the way upstate where i was far away from my friends i grew up with. In the long run it really help me alot because It kept me focus and i was not being distracted so much anymore. So after all of that I finish the program where i got my high school diploma at. I felt so good after i got it because i knew i work so hard to get it. Let me tell u it was not easy at all. At times i felt like giving up but i stuck with it and it paid off for me and the long run.
Furthermore I thank my mother for believing and not giving up on me when times got hard. I owe everything to her because i do not think i would be where i'm at today. Now i am the first person out the family who made it to college. Never thought i would ever see myself here. I was always so caught up with my friends and worrying about what they were doing so much that I really never got a chance to really figure out what was best for me. Today I'm currently still in college this is my second semester. I really feel like I accomplish some of my goals in my life. I made this far and i'm not going to give up no matter had hard or long it takes me to finish school. Education means a lot to me because without it I do not know where I would be. Even though school is not for everybody you have to try and go threw with it because nowadays most jobs ask for colleges background in order to work for the company. In today world its very competitive when it comes to jobs. Its not easy getting and it's definitely not easy keeping it. You got to have the perfect skills to qualify for the jobs you want thats why its very important to want to do good in school and not take it for granted.

In conclusion I feel that all kids should want to do they best in school. Not only because they teacher and some parents want them too but because its going to benefit them in a long run. Once students know they work hard and did good they will feel much better about themselves. As far as working wise students will be able to do the job correctly and effectively.

In the article “Are Women Really Better at Multitasking?” Talks about how most females are better when it comes to doing more then one thing at a time. “However there is a drag on productivity for everyone, regardless of gender.” The article creates a study taking 100 students both male and female to prove who is better doing multiple things at a time. Some were giving tasks such as solving math problems and finding restaurants on maps. while others had to think of new ways to find a lost key as well as answering phone calls while still doing these tasks at hand. The study’s also show that about 70 percent of females are able to work better than most men.
One idea that I found most interesting was how the author was saying women are better than men at doing more than one thing at a time based on studies and the tasks that were given. Although one of the task that was given to both male and female was they had to look for a key. The men didn't really take there time to think about the task they were given because they just jump right into looking for the key without thinking about it first. The women’s took their time and plan it out first trying to cover every area they can. Why I feel that this is important because its a good way to see who better than who when it comes to multitasking. Men don't seem to think about certain things a lot of times when they are being giving assignments to do certain things.

I agree the reason why I feel that most men do not really think about taking steps before they do certain things and women do is because doing more then one thing at a time can be very confusing if you don't follow the right steps it can be a distraction. It might take you a little longer to accomplish your task at hand. Thats why its important to take a step back and think about what you going to do and how you going to solve it before u actually do it . Females tend to know and think about what to do when its comes to doing more than one thing at a time like for example I have a cousin and most of the time she chats on the phone and answer questions while she prepares to cook for dinner at the same time. I feel that when u focus on more thing one thing at a time it can slow you down from doing your other tasks.

Furthermore the reason why I feel that multitasking can slow u down from doing your other tasks are because I had times when i was trying to do more then one thing at a time and it did not work. I was doing homework and I also had my tv on at the same time. What i realize was as i was doing homework I kept on looking up every min at the tv. After some time had passed I found myself still working on the assignment. This proves that whenever you are trying to multitask you might not be able to do both things well at the same time this goes for both male and female. I really feel that while trying to performed multiple tasks at the same period of time can really slow you down from doing your other task. Yea studies shows that females are better when it comes to multitasking but they never argue on how when doing so that this can really and actually slow you down from working on your other tasks or even distract you depending on what you doing.

In conclusion I think multitasking is a mind thing you must think harder when doing two or more things at the same time. Its not easy and it can become confusing if u do not think about what you are going to do before you do it.

In the article “Administration to Seek Balance in Airport Screening” by Scott Shane, talks about how the Obama Administration and the airport screenings are becoming too pushy. T.S.A screens about two million air passengers a day. As you get to the airport and get your baggage checked you must either go threw a body scanner or a pat down procedure. The Screener spots things that people might sneak in the airport while the pat down is more of a private search to make sure you have no weapons or any other medal objectives under your clothes. “On November 1 the article says” that the TSA agency introduced a tougher pat down procedure as well as polls showing that only about 80 percent of the public supports the use of body scanners while only 1 percent did not agree with the scanner instead they rather be pat down.
James Carafano a Security specialist from Heritage Foundation and Bruce Hoffman a expert from Georgetown University says that they want the Obama Administration to change the screening procedures. Obama administration should limit the pat downs and screenings to only certain passages who look suspicious. The article also says they should focus more on new plots and approaches when identifying passengers who are at risk on putting others in danger of there safely when traveling.
